Centre mum on findings of Rangarajan
New Delhi: Notwithstanding noted economist C. Rangarajan headed expert group, which reviewed the Tendulkar committee methodology for estimating poverty, has submitted its report, the government continued to remain circumvent on it to avoid any controversy over the issue.
Neither Dr Rangarajan nor minister of state planning Rao Inderjit Singh preferred to reveal any detail of the report.
Mr Singh said, "We have received the report yesterday. We are considering it but we have not taken a view on it as yet.”
