Mumbai: Google is working on making its Gmail much more user friendly day by day. Google has added customised tabs, extended its storage limit up to 15 GB and even added a RSVP tab.
Your Gmail messages are classified into categories such as Primary, Social, Promotions, Updates and Forum. Once you set up these tabs on Gmail, it makes sure that your messages are automatically categorized into the following optional tabs:
Updates:
Just in case you have added your resume on various online job portals. Gmail makes sure that you are updated with the job opportunities as per your career preference.
Forums:
If you are one of those who love to be a part of any social campaigns or leadership, the ‘Forums’ tab can be the most suitable tab for you
Previously, the below given tabs were added:
Primary:
You can view your most important mails by clicking on the Primary tab. This tab doesn’t accept any type of mails, which fall in its spam category.
Social:
As most of us are active on numerous social platforms, the Social tab will keep you updated on the latest happenings on Linked.in, Twitter, Facebook etc.
Promotions:
There are only a handful of people who would love to view digitalised ads on Gmail. So, if you are disinterested, Gmail has even taken this into consideration. You can now escape the unwanted digitalised ads via Gmail.
Gmail also gives its users the freedom to hide some tabs. All you need to do is click on the extreme right corner and you will see a + icon, click on it and check or uncheck the tab options. This will help you to set up tabs as per your convenience.
You can even track packages, review products, RSVP for events to confirm your presence at a particular event.
Increased number of custom themes
Previously, Gmail only offered only 35 customised themes to choose from. But now it has increased its number of custom themes. You can also select your own image from Google + as your custom theme.
