Mumbai: Known for his sensational statements regarding his films, Ram Gopal Varma hit a new low when his production house claimed that in the upcoming horror film, Ice Cream, lead actress Tejaswi had a nude scene. The press release even wondered if the movie would make it past the Censor board.
So, to check if Ramu was indeed breaking new ground, and if actress Tejaswi was after all, ready to “stun audiences”, DC made a few calls. “The actress has been getting numerous phone calls from concerned relatives and friends, who can’t believe she said yes to the going nude. But she’s not naked in the movie at all. She’s in fact, wearing two pairs of shorts in the scene where it appears as if she’s taking off all her clothes. The press release is very strange. It’s not really a nude scene at all. The director just wants to make the audience feel it is a nude scene,” a source attached to the project revealed. Meanwhile, a very harried Tejaswi spent the day serving out explanations.
“It was a very tricky scene to shoot. They fixed the cameras in a room and asked me to just act, on my own. Once the scene was over, I switched off the cameras and came out of the room. Please wait until the film’s release and decide whether I acted in the nude scene or not.”
