Mumbai: Buzz is that after Priyanka Chopra, Akshay Kumar’s wife Twinkle Khanna has expressed reservations about his on-screen pairing with Sonakshi Sinha. As a result of which, the actress won’t be seen in Akshay’s future projects, at least for the time being.
They have worked together in a bunch of films so far such as Joker, Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai Dobaara, Rowdy Rathore, Boss and Holiday. And now it appears that circumstances have forced them to take a break. We hear that Sonakshi, who had a cordial relationship with Akshay’s better half, has had a fallout with her. She’s currently shooting for Tevar with Arjun Kapoor and Action Jackson with Ajay Devgn.
Right from her first release Dabangg to the recently released Holiday, Sonakshi has been working without a break. Besides Tevar and Action Jackson, she doesn’t have any more films in hand right now. This is the first time that her work calendar is showing a dip. Sonakshi’s alleged ouster from Akshay’s films has triggered off a fresh round of speculations. The actor and his directors have been scouting for other actresses of late.
“Be it Shah Rukh Khan-Kajol, Katrina Kaif-Akshay and Deepika Padukone-Ranbir Kapoor, every successful on-screen pair needs to space out their work. Casting newer actresses and not Sonakshi is a decision that is taken by the actor and the filmmakers. It’s Akshay’s prerogative who he wants to work or not to work with,” reveals our source.
