YSR Congress sends 30 corporators to Goa

YSRC leaders shifted in a bid to prevent poaching by the TD

Nellore: YSRC leaders shifted elected members of Nellore municipal corporation to a camp in a bid to prevent poaching by the TD. Sources in the YSRC said that they are taking members to Goa and they will bring them back for the Mayor election scheduled for July 3. This is the second time that the YSRC is sending members to a camp to protect them from the ruling party leaders.

Apart from elected members, YSRC leaders have got tickets for their kin also to go to the camp to prevent the TD leaders from approaching them. Incidentally, senior TD leaders declared unofficially that they have already got support of YSRC members to capture Nellore civic body. Notwithstanding their claims, YSRC mayor nominee Abdul Azeez and YSRC Nellore city and rural MLAs Dr Anilkumar Yadav and Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy sent 30 corporators to the camp on Friday.

According to information, TD had managed to convince two women Corporators of YSRC to back TD with the help of their husbands. Citing their support they started wooing others. But their plan back fired after Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy and Dr Anilkumar Yadav jumped 0into damage control exercise.

In fact YSRC Nellore City legislator Dr Anilkumar Yadav rushed to the house of the two Corporators and warned of dire consequences if they extend support to TDP. The two Corporators also left for Goa along with their husbands and children on Friday.

YSRC Leaders Biradavolu Srikanth Reddy, P.Roopkumar Yadav and Abdul Jaleel have accompanied the Civic body members to Goa. When contacted Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy said that they are ready for any kind of situation to protect their elected members and came down heavily against TD leaders for unethical methods to disturb YSRC members. A senior YSRC leader said that they have hired a Maharastra based security agency to protect their members being housed in a five star hotel at Goa.
