Vishnu Vardhan Reddy awaits response from Ministry of Home Affairs
Hyderabad: Vishnu Vardhan Reddy, assistant solicitor general, submitted before Justice L. Narasimha Reddy that he was awaiting a response from the Ministry of Home Affairs and Ministry of Law to his letters.
The judge was hearing the matter arising due to the ambiguity on certain provisions of the AP Reorganisation Act 2014. After perusing the papers placed before him by the Registrar General, the judge pointed out that there were no clauses pertaining to division of the High Court and the state judiciaries.
Citing that that the amicus curie in this case expressed the view that operation of Section 40 of the Act, as it stands now, will result in serious consequences pertaining to jurisdiction, the judge directed the Registrar General to place all communication between the High Court and the state government with regard to the steps for division of the High Court and the state judiciaries.
The judge also directed the Registrar to place before his Court, copies of the proceedings, through which the decisions of continuance of existing courts are to be taken, by July 4.
