Hyderabad: The AP Industrial Infrastructure Corporation has put several proposals to the revenue department for alienation of land for setting up industrial parks including food parks and fertiliser industries. The proposals have been caught in red tape.
APIIC Vijayawada zonal manager M. Murali Mohan said, “The last alienation of land was three years ago. There is lot of paper work involved. CCLA must issue orders for changing the land usage pattern. The proposals forwarded by us have to be verified at the ground level by tahsildar and RDOs and they must give the report to collectors who pass orders.”
APIIC said that around 495 acres of land was alientated to VBC fertilisers in Jayanthipuram of Guntur. However, the land possession was not given due to payment issues. “APIIC has paid Rs 4,900 crore to the revenue department in the state. We asked them to adjust a part of the money for alienation of this land. However, the revenue department principal secretary has to write to the Collector. So that plan was kept pending.”
Another land that was of 398 acres at Jayanthipuram that was given to Rakhsana steels is now in legal disputes. An IT park was developed at Keesarapally but only one block was constructed. The occupation is less only four to five companies are operating from here at Veerapanenigudem near Avutupally 30 acres of land was alienated.
