Bengaluru: Signal jumping, reckless and dangerous driving, defective number plate…and what not…! The list of offences against this minor boy is endless and the traffic police have booked all possible traffic violations against the driver, who had created a havoc on city roads.
The minor, Shravan (name changed), ran out of his luck on Thursday as the determined traffic policemen chased and cornered him near Shivananda circle.
The traffic cops have booked the 17-year-old for signal jumping, defective silencer and number plate, driving without license, reckless and dangerous driving, zig-zag driving, two counts of obstructing traffic, refusing to stop at police signal, going over the speed limit, not wearing seat belt, minor driving, violation of control of noise and air pollution, chase and catch, usage of dark films on windows and two counts of wrong parking near M.S. Ramaiah College.
The police have slapped 17 different violations against the minor and his car, the police said.
Shravan, a first year B.Com student, had been flaunting his modified Honda City for quite some time in and around Malleswaram traffic police limits. Reportedly, the police got numerous complaints from motorists that the car was a nuisance on the road.
Shravan’s luck ran out when he bumped his car into a pedestrian, while jumping a traffic signal, right in front of traffic policemen near Shivananda Circle.
The pedestrian escaped unhurt. When the policemen came running, the car failed to stop and the cops chased it and caught it. Shravan, son of a jeweler in Malleswaram, boasted with the policemen that he was influential and would go out scot-free. But sources in the police department said that the charges against the minor were serious and he could spend sometime at a juvenile home.
