Ponnala Lakshmaiah, D Srinivas ruined party: N Rajalingam
Hyderabad: “It is like coming from narkam (hell) to swargam (heaven). Gandhi Bhavan was like hell but we find this place (Telangana Bhavan) heaven,” said former MLC S. Indrasena Reddy, who joined the TRS.
The new TRS MLCs — V. Bhoopal Reddy, Bhanu Prasad Rao, N. Rajalingam and Indrasena Reddy — asserted that they joined the TRS not for the post but to join hands with Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in making a Bangaru Telangana (Golden Telangana).
MLC Rajalingam lashed out at TPCC president Ponnala Lakshmaiah, D. Srinivas and other senior party leaders for destroying the party for their selfish ends.
“Congress government spent Rs 75,000 crore for irrigation projects but failed to provide irrigation to the land. The Congress is full of corrupt people. Ponnala Lakshmaiah and D. Srinivas fall in this category. Srinivas lost elections twice and failed to get deposit in the just concluded assembly election yet obtained a post through lobbying with the Congress high command in New Delhi,” said a visibly agitated Rajalingam.
The newly joined MLCs said they would stand by Mr Rao to take on Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu who is trying to hurt the Telangana government and create obstacles at every step.
“We should stand united and back KCR in his fight against provocative actions of Chandrababu Naidu. KCR alone can develop Telangana,” remarked Bhanu Prasad Rao.
