Mumbai: BMC released a list of water bill defaulters, which surprisingly includes names of high-profile residents of Mumbai.
The list, which was published on June 26, included names of Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Shiv Sena president Uddhav Thackeray, his late father Bal Thackeray and acknowledged architect Hafeez Contractor.
These high-profile residents have been found to be using water without clearing their dues.
This is the second time in the year that the names of the Thackerays have appeared in the list.
Earlier, the name of late party chief Bal Thackeray had figured in the list along with former cricketer Sachin Tendulkar.
BMC list was published in accordance with an order passed by the state information commission in December 2013.
Reportedly, a senior civic official said the list includes names of those connections holders who failed to pay dues within 45 days of the bills being send.
