Congress may get Public Accounts of Committee: Venkaiah Naidu

New Delhi: Congress may get Chairmanship of the prestigious Public Accounts of Committee but still there is no guarantee whether it will get the post of Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

There is also no assurance from the government whether the Leader of the Opposition in Rajya Sabha will be accommodated in the decision-making process relating to key appointments like Lok Pal in the absence of Congress not getting recognition as Leader of the Opposition.

“I want to take opposition into confidence on PAC. I am in favour of giving it to the main opposition (Congress),” parliamentary affairs minister M. Venkaiah Naidu said. He said discussions are going on for Athe Deputy Speaker’s post.
