Hyderabad: The families of Manish Sao and Swetha Sao are yet to recover from shock. The parents of the couple, who came to Hyderabad from Uttar Pradesh to receive the bodies, had never thought that the troubled relationship would end in such a horrible way. The parents told the police that there used to be frequent quarrels between the couple and they had to intervene sometimes.
Manish, the chief products manager at an MNC named IMomentous Inc at Madhapur, and a native of Moradabad, allegedly killed his wife and five-year-old son, and committed suicide at their apartment in Madhapur.
“We thought they were normal quarrels that happen between wife and husband, and never expected it would end like this,” Mr S.K. Sao, the father of Manish told the police. Swetha’s parents told the police that Manish used to harass her after getting drunk, and they had warned him not to repeat it.
Manish, an IIT graduate, and wife Shweta lived for a while in the US and came to Hyderabad three years ago. Friends said that Manish’s professionally very successful but was depressed about his marital life.
“He had worked in many companies in Chicago, Virginia and California. But, he could not handle the problems in his married life,” said one of his friends.
After the postmortem at the Osmania General Hospital, the families received the three bodies and took them to their hometowns in UP.
