Mallika Sherawat the reason behind Antonio Banderas, Melanie Griffith's divorce?

Sherawat’s alleged best friend and Los Angeles stylist Ivan Bitton has opened up about the duo's 'intense' connection and has said that their controversial dance floor encounter two years ago was only the beginning.

Sherawat and Banderas met at a Cannes party and Bitton shot a video of them dancing together. The video was later leaked online. Bitton however, denies leaking the video.

“I remember when they danced and they had a lot of PDA, he had a lot of public affection with Mallika,” Bitton was quoted by Radar Online as saying.

Shortly after the video of Banderas and Sherawat went public, Griffith distanced herself from Banderes. According to Bitton, Banderas later told Sherawat that the video was to blame.

“He was really mad about the video,” Bitton, who met the actor at Cannes this year, said. “He specifically said that after that video, this is when everything started to go down.. It specifically started to cause problems with his wife.”

However, according to 46-year-old Bitton, Banderas was really awed by Mallika at the party. “He was saying ‘God you’re so beautiful,’ like a horndog would do talking to a prey.”

Bitton, 46, claimed that the ‘Desperado’ star was so much into Sherawat up then that he even took her on a romantic vacation to Spain.

“I know that he took her to Spain,” Bitton said. “I think he got really like ‘wow’ on Mallika.”

The trip, which allegedly took place in early 2012, was 'very discreet' and took place 'without the wife knowing'. “It was just the two of them,” Bitton said.

Mallika, on the other hand, has gone on record to clear the air.

"Antonio Banderas is a wonderful man, a great dancer and an acquaintance of mine," Sherawat told E! News. "I did not go on any vacation with him, and I'm sorry he's going through a divorce."

"Ivan Bitton is not my best friend," she added. "I hired him as a stylist at Cannes and then fired him. I'm sure he released the video.

"I don't know what he's even talking about now. I haven't been in touch with Ivan since I fired him. Whatever he's saying about me is ridiculous," Sherawat said.

However, whether or not Mallika is enjoying this newfound attention remains to be seen. Earlier on Thursday, she tweeted a link of her rumoured affair article with a 'LEAVE ME ALONE!!' comment.
