PMO staff member's son clears Civil Services exam, Modi pats back
New Delhi: The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi lauded a Civil Services aspirant, who cleared the tough exam in his first attempt.
Rajesh Kumar, the 578-rank holder, is the son of Devkaran, a staff member at the Prime Minister's Office.
PM Narendra Modi offered sweets to the young engineer at the PMO on Tuesday appreciating his achievement.
It turns out that his grandfather, Narayan Ram, too worked in the Prime Minister's Office during the tenure of then prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru during the 1950s.
Rajesh Kumar, a B.Tech in Electronics and Communication, secured 578th rank out of 1,122 candidates who cracked the UPSC exam 2013.
As his father and grandfather have worked in the PMO, will Rajesh Kumar follow suit?
