Kochi: A man who forced his minor daughter into a sex racket in which she was exploited by 100 odd persons over a period of time in 2010 was sentenced to 14 years imprisonment on Wednesday and the victim's mother and three others were given seven years jail term by a court here.
Ernakulam Additional Sessions Judge P G Ajith awarded the sentences while delivering the judgement in two cases related to the sensational Paravoor sex scam that came to light in 2011.
The girl's father Sudheer, a small time actor, had earlier been sentenced to life in another case related to the scam.
The other three accused are Manoj, Vijay Kumar and Biju Narayanan, all connected to film world.
Omana, an alleged sex racket agent, was acquitted for want of evidence in the two cases.
Over 50 cases had been registered for rape and gang rape of the girl when she was a minor.
The girl was forced into flesh trade by her father. Sudheer had himself raped her and taken her to various persons in different places where she was sexually exploited.
The victim was taken to various places and raped promising roles in films in 2010.
There are 148 accused in the cases and 100 persons have so far been arrested.
With this verdict, the court has so far pronounced judgements in seven cases.
The case came to light in 2011 and shook the conscience of people of Kerala.
