You can track your stolen iPhone using the iCloud account and Find My iPhone

Mumbai: Apple iPhones have now become more of a status symbol than a mere smartphone. This can be one of the reasons why 40 per cent of the mobile thefts involve iPhones itself, as reported by Huffington Post.
You can trace your stolen iPhone by setting up ‘Find My iPhone’ which features the new ‘Activation Lock’. The Activation Lock will not allow your thief to switch it off, when stolen.
Open an iCloud account
As assumed, an iPhone user would register the phone on iCloud immediately upon purchasing. In case you didn’t here's how you do it :

- Go to Settings, then iCloud.
- Tap iCloud and type in your Apple ID and create a password.
Activate ‘Find My iPhone’
- Go to Settings.
- Tap iCloud and click on OK
Once you follow the above given steps, you will receive a green colour dialogue box which confirms that your iPhone is secure:
