Mumbai: Bollywood director Subhash Kapoor, popularly known for his award winning film 'Jolly LLB', was arrested on Monday, June 23 by the Versova Police, Mumbai after he was accused of molesting actress Geetika Tyagi.
Assistant Police Commissioner Samadhan Dhanedhar said, "Film director Subhash Kapoor was arrested today in connection with the molestation case filed against him by actress Geetika Tyagi on April 14 this year."
A close associate of the director's, Danish Raja was also been arrested, but the duo was produced before the Andheri court which granted them bail.

On February 14, Tyagi uploaded a video on YouTube where she is seen confronting Kapoor and slapping him about the incident that apparently took place over a year ago.
She later clarified that it was not a case of casting couch as the director, also a former journalist, was a family friend she knew for over eight years and it was a platonic relationship.
"It's a breach of trust," Tyagi posted.
