Congress leader of opposition Mallikarjun Kharge tries to enhance cadre morale
Khammam: The Congress workers have been asked not to despair following the party’s debacle in the recent general elections by Congress leader in Lok Sabha Mallikarjun Kharge. The party would extend all cooperation to instill confidence among workers.
Interacting with the media on Saturday, Mr Kharge said that the party had faced such a situation earlier also. The Congress would continue to fight against the government and its anti-people policies.
He said the party would involve the leaders and workers in all its programmes at the state and national levels.
Saying that party workers in Telangana faced embarrassment following the party’s defeat in the state, he said the Congress played a big role in constituting a separate state of Telangana.
“I appeal to the workers not to despair because of the results, for the future is ours and we will win the hearts of the people soon,” he said, adding that the party activists should be alert and involve themselves in party programes.”
On the Andhra Pradesh electoral results, he said the Congress would get back its past glory in the state soon.
