College not recognised, students protest
'College facilities are not as per standards issued by the PCI'
Hyderabad: Over 180 pharmacy students from the David Memorial Pharmacy College, Tarnaka, are unable to practise as their college is not recognised by the Pharmacy Council of India. A student said that members of the Pharmacy Council of India had pointed out that the college facilities are not as per standards issued by the PCI.
The college director, James David said, “The first time the PCI members came for a surprise visit for the first time in 2011. We rectified the discrepancies pointed out by them. They were supposed to inspect the college this month but so far, no one has come. Till they inspect the premises, nothing can be done. We are trying to speed things up and have informed the students.”
