Mumbai: After VJ Andy’s ouster from Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa last week, another shocking elimination was that of actor Purab Kohli. The actor admitted that he was as stunned as his fans at his Jhalak journey being cut so short. “I’m shocked by my elimination to be honest. I had been getting good reactions for my performances so I had hoped to go ahead in the competition. I had been working very hard. It was a bad day, is all I can say. My choreographer Mohena too put in her best for all our acts,”says Purab.
So what exactly went wrong for Purab? “I didn’t expect to end up in the bottom two and when I did, it was a stressful situation. Things didn’t work out. Also the show is not only about dance, it’s also about who is most popular with the audience. It’s a complex process and maybe we lost out there,” he says.
So who has a good chance of winning the show according to him? “I think Shakti Mohan, Ashish Sharma, Mouni Roy and Akshat Singh have a good chance of making it to the finals,” Purab says. Purab tells us that he will miss the team with whom he had been preparing for the show for months now, the most. He says, “I will miss Mohena of course and the production crew with whom we would spend 6-7 hours rehearsing daily.”
