Mumbai: After much criticism for her debut attempt at hosting, it’s been confirmed that Drashti Dhami has been asked to step down as the anchor of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa. Funny man Manish Paul who has hosted a season of the show in the past, will replace the actor.
Our source says, “Since the audience feedback for Drashti wasn’t positive, Manish has been roped in to host the show with Ranvir Shorey. Also, Drashti would take very long to rehearse her lines. According to the feedback the channel got, the audience wanted the old duo Manish and Kapil (Sharma) to anchor the show, but since Kapil is busy with his show, they weren’t able to get him on board.”
Drashti confirmed the news saying, “My journey at Jhalak comes to an end. Thank you all for the love and support.”
Meanwhile, Drashti’s show Madhubala on the same channel is slated to end soon too. Manish was unavailable for comment.
