You can now avoid unwanted notifications on Twitter
Mumbai: Twitter users can now avoid unwanted notifications on their timeline by clicking on the newly introduced ‘Mute’ feature by Twitter. By using this feature, you will no longer receive push or SMS notifications from that user.
Even though you have muted the unwanted notifications, it won’t stop you from following him or her online. As per official reports, ‘@ replies and @ mentions from muted users you follow will still appear in your Notifications tab.’
Disclaimer: When you mute a user, their previous Tweets will still be displayed; only Tweets from the point you muted them will be hidden.
