Toshiba launches a new range of laptops
Mumbai: Toshiba India launched an all-new range of laptops. The new range includes the world’s first Ultra HD 4K laptop with a touch screen, new Satellite L Series laptops, the new Satellite S Series laptops and a new range of ultra portable laptops.
With the launch of the new range, Toshiba also marks its foray into two new segments in India – detachable hybrid laptops with Portégé Z10t- A & Satellite L30W, and a professional workstation delivering mighty performance- Tecra W50.

Satellite P Series: Ultra HD 4K laptop
The Satellite P50 features the an Ultra HD 4K TruBrite 39.6cms (15.6) touch-screen display with a 3840 x 2160 resolution, which is four times as any Full HD screen. The Satellite P50 is equipped with high-quality stereo speakers by Harman Kardon.
Encased in a slim chassis, the P50 sports a sleek design at 27.9mm and bold looks with a metallic finish. The laptop also features Toshiba’s unique Sleep & Music feature, allowing users to take advantage of the high-quality speakers even when the laptop is off.
Powered by 4th Gen Intel Core H series processors (47W) and a gaming-class AMD Radeon R9 M265X graphics, the P50 houses RAM expandability up to 16GB of 1600MHz DDR3L memory along with a 1TB hard drive with (3D sensor) to store and share HD content. Four USB 3.0 ports, a UHS-II SD card slot, Wi-Fi to stream Ultra HD videos, HDMI port capable of 4K output and a built-in re-writable drive, deliver complete connectivity options to the customers, at a price of Rs 86,000.
Satellite S series:
With sleek design at 19.3 mm and weighing at just 1.87 kg, the new Satellite S Series brushed with an Aluminum finish is easy to carry and comfortable to use because of its dimensions. S series is equipped with Harman Kardon speakers.
Powered by a 4th Gen Intel Core TM i5-4200U Processor 1.6 GHz with Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 up to 2.6 GHz (3MB Cache) and a 4 GB DDR3L 1600 MHz RAM (expandable up to 16 GB), the S series runs on Windows 8.1 OS.
Housing a 1TB 5400 RPM SATA drive, the Satellite S Series laptops also feature a full array of ports to accommodate for a variety of computing needs, including an HDMI port capable of 4K output and dual USB 3.0 ports, one with USB Sleep & Charge technology, which allows users to charge USB-powered devices even when the laptop is powered off.
The new Satellite S40 will be available at a price point of Rs. 50,790/-.
Satellite L Series:
The Satellite L series is powered with Onkyo speakers and DTS SoundTM tuned by Skullcandy.
Hosting a 39.6cm (15.6) HD Clear SuperView LED backlit screen, the Satellite L series has three USB ports including dual USB 3.0 ports, one with USB Sleep & Charge technology through which a mobile phone or an MP3 player can be charged without switching the laptop on.
With an option to choose between a AMD A4-5000 QuadCore APU with AMD RadeonTM HD 8330 Graphics (1.5 GHz, 2MB Cache); or Intel Pentium (QuadCore) Processor N3520 (2.17 GHz, 2MB Cache with Burst Frequency up to 2.42 GHz); or 4th Gen Intel CoreTM i3-4005U Processor (1.70 GHz, 3MB Cache); and 4th Gen Intel CoreTM i5-4200U Processor 1.6 GHz with Turbo Boost Technology 2.0 up to 2.6 GHz (3MB Cache), the L series features 14 models with a wide array of configuration options.
With three elegant colors to choose from – Premium Glossy Black, Luxury White and Satin Gold, the entire range is priced between Rs 25,785 and Rs 51,340.
Toshiba Detachable Hybrid Laptop – Portégé Z10t-A:
Featuring a 29.4cms (11.6) IPS Full HD display with Corning Concore Glass and an anti-glare coating, the Portégé Z10t-A. Its versatile usability optimized for productivity converts the Portégé Z10t-A from an Ultrabook™ to a mobile computing device with a quick release lock. The detachable tablet features a full-size SD card slot, USB 3.0 and Micro HDMI® port, and an audio combo jack. The keyboard dock features full-size HDMI, RGB, LAN and USB 2.0 port.
The Portégé Z10t-A is powered by the latest Intel Core processors and backed by a decent battery life. The detachable keyboard is LED backlit and spill-resistant, which includes a touchpad with Windows 8.1 gesture support and accupoint.

Toshiba Detachable Hybrid Laptop – Satellite L30W:
Toshiba Satellite L30W offers complete usability with thin and clean design with a durable hinge featuring a ‘quick-release’ latching mechanism for attaching and detaching the screen to the keyboard base. New hinge design makes the thinner design and the cleaner looks, which closes to premium clamshell chassis.

Toshiba Portégé Z30-A:

At 17.9mm and 1.2kg, the Portégé Z30-A is slim and feather light Ultrabook designed for maximum business mobility. An extremely light magnesium case makes the Toshiba Portégé Z30-A one of the most mobile laptops of the new range.
The Portégé Z30-A is equipped with 33.78 cm (13.3) HD diagonal display. Customers could also choose an intuitive touch-screen technology that brings images and presentations to life with bright and crisp colors.
