"The truck driver parked his vehicle without following any precautions"

Hyderabad: Two persons were killed and another was seriously injured when their Tata Sumo rammed into a stationary truck at Peddam-berpet in Hayathnagar early on Wednesday. The truck driver had parked the vehicle on the road without lights.

Chandrashekhar, a native of Nizamabad, and two others identified as Gopi and Sitaramayya were travelling in the Sumo.

Police said that at around 4 am when the car reached the HP bunk at Peddamberpet, the driver failed to notice the parked truck and rammed into it. While Chandrashekhar and Gopi died on the spot, Sitaramayya was rushed to the hospital and is being treated.

“The truck driver parked his vehicle without following any precautions. The mishap occurred due to his negligence,"” said Murali Kumar, the investigating officer of Hayathnagar.

Chandrashekhar was coming to the city to see his relative Dhanraj Goud. Based on Dhanraj’s complaint, a case under Section 304A (Causing death by negligence) and 337 (Causing hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) was registered. A manhunt for the driver is on.
