Officials have angered Ayyappa, says stargazer
Kochi: The divine sanctity of the Lord Ayyappa temple in Sabarimala has been affected due to certain flaws in the temple affairs which needed remedial measures and atonement rituals.
This was ‘revealed’ in the ‘devaprasnam’ (astrological consultation) held after a gap of 10 years at the hill shrine on Wednesday.
“The findings suggested the anger of the deity about some aspects of temple administration, particularly the activities of certain officials directly concerned with the temple. It was held to seek the customary divine will on various suggestions made by a team of vasthu experts as part of the implementation of the Sabarimala master plan,” P. Venugopal, Devaswom commissioner, said.
Changes should be made to the original plan regarding the renovation work of Malikapuram. There are also certain flaws as per the vasthu principles and the renovation should be carried out matching the surroundings, he said citing the devaprasnam led by astrologer Cheruvalli Narayanan Nampoothiri of Kozhikode.
