Indian Air Force video game raises eyebrows
New Delhi: The Indian Air Force, in a mobile-game being launched by it on July 3 has identified a fictional enemy nation called “Zaruzia” which has been described as “politically volatile, militarily dominant and economically waning.”
Eyebrows have been raised as this fits Pakistan’s description though it has not been named in the mobile-game.
When the IAF officers during a press meet were reminded that this description sounded all-too-familiar, they merely smiled.
The story-line of the game is even more of an eye-popper. It speaks about the deliberate destruction of an enemy ship by an enemy submarine — unveiled as the country’s gr-and design — and blames it on India and attacks Indian oil rigs.
The IAF has said the video-game “Guardians of the Skies” is the “first Indian 3D mobile combat game highlighting various missions and air combat scenarios undertaken by the IAF “in an appealing manner.”
