AP CM on hunt for chief Public Relation Officer

Former CPRO S. Vijaya Kumar and A.A. Rao were 2 suggested names

Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is searching for a person to be appointed chief public relations officer (CPRO) in his office. According to sources, a few names came up recently during the CM’s informal discussions with his close circle.

Former CPRO S. Vijaya Kumar and A.A. Rao were two of the suggested names. Mr Vijaya Kumar’s name was rejected as he differed with Mr Naidu following the defeat of the Telugu Desam in the past.

Others had doubts about Mr Rao, who at present works with the Central government in New Delhi. Some in Mr Naidu’s circle said it was not advisable to appoint Mr Rao as he had worked with former Union minister Dasari Narayana Rao, who faces allegations in the coal scam.
