Two minor girls raped in Nagpur, 2 youths held
Nagpur: Two minor girls were allegedly raped in separate incidents here with the accused in both the cases having been arrested, police said on Tuesday. According to police, in the first incident, Tushar Miskin (24) allegedly lured an eight-year-old girl on the pretext of giving her chocolate and raped her at a field in Pipla village of the district last evening.
After the victim's family lodged a complaint, the accused was arrested last night and charged under Sections 376(2)(i) (a)(rape) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of IPC and relevant sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012, police said in a release here.
The second case involves one Samit Satibabne (26), from Paoni village in Bhandara district, who allegedly sexually assaulted a 17-year-old girl between September 2013, and January, 2014, at Dighori village of Nagpur and refused to marry her when she became pregnant. Following a complaint, Samit was arrested on Monday.
Charges have been registered against him under Sections 376(2) (rape) and 506(b) (criminal intimidation) and under Sections 6 and 10 of the POCSO Act, police added.
