Kannada actress Jeevika to make her Tamil debut
Chennai: It is well known that girls from Kerala enjoy a marked preference in K’town. Very few from Bengaluru, like Divya Spandhana (better known as ‘Kutthu Ramya’), Pranitha Subash and Ragini Dwivedi, have been lured by Tamil filmmakers in the past.
Now Jeevika, a new entrant from Kannada films, is making her foray with an intensely romantic film, titled Kadhal Payithiyam, in which she is paired with the debutant actor, Adarsh, who has acted in a Hindi film, Yeh Dil Ramta Jogi.
Jeevika says, “I have a solid character role to prove my acting skills. I am confident that I can pull it off and am keen to work in more Tamil films.”
Director Ma. Chandru, elaborating on the plot, says, “Adarsh and Jeevika are young lovers and there's no opposition to their love from any quarter, including from their families. But conflict arises due their ego problems and the two get separated. The film has a message and the youth of today would connect with the movie’s characters.”
