Kapil Sharma and Colors set for a face-off soon?

Kapil tweeted about his show Comedy Nights but was asked to take it down immediately

Mumbai: A day after he announced on Twitter that his show Comedy Nights With Kapil will go off air, host and producer Kapil Sharma took to the social networking site again to clarify that the move wasn’t final.

Been thinking of Comedy nights new set, characters and a mini break... will consult with the channel n decide soon. Don’t worry be happy, he tweeted in his most recent post. This came just a day after the comedian tweeted, Comedy nights is going off air from september.. V will come back with new characters n new set.. Till den.. Keep smiling.

Colors, however, has denied the news saying that Kapil is bound by a contract and that he is not entitled to take a call on these things. The actor has apparently been asking the channel to air the show once a week so that he can concentrate on his film Bank Chor. Since the channel declined his offer, the actor took to Twitter on an impulse. The spokesperson added that Kapil was asked to rectify the error immediately and he assured everyone that the show is getting good TRPs and won’t go off air any time soon.

The show’s writer Raj Kanodia said, “I have already written the script for seven upcoming episodes and the show won’t go off air anytime soon. The same happened with Comedy Express. People were talking about it going off air, but it became so successful that it went on for years. This may be the case with CNWK.
