Investment to be made easy: Telangana Chief Minister
Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao said that his vision of making Hyderabad “a global and slumless city” will be fulfilled in action, not mere words. He said double-bed room flats will be constructed for urban poor to make the city ‘slumless’.
He said his government will provide permanent solution to the drinking water problem by bringing Krishna waters to the city. He added that bringing Godavari water would be very expensive.
Mr Rao was delivering the ‘motion of thanks’ to the Governor’s address in the Legislative Assembly on Friday.
The Chief Minister said his government is committed to make Telangana a power-surplus state within three years.
He said an “industry-friendly policy” would be announced soon wherein any investor who lands at the Shamshabad airport with a proposal to invest here will be invited by a government protocol officer. A committee headed by the chief secretary and senior IAS officials will approve the proposals on land allotment and incentives.
“There will be a single-window clearance system which will be headed by the CS and other senior officials. The committee can freely take decisions on land allotments and other incentives to investors.
The CM or any minister will not be involved in this process. This is to check political corruption. I will not spare even my family members if they indulge in political corruption and will not hesitate to send them to jail,” Mr Rao said.
