Agarwal) appointed as government advisor for irrigation and water management matters. The government issued orders to this effect on Friday.
Both will be assigned the status of Cabinet ministers. The government order said the terms and conditions of appointment of the advisors will be issued separately. Meanwhile, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has decided to fill two key posts.
According to sources, former MLA Chadalavada Krishna Murthy will be appointed chairman of the prestigious Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam while former Congress MP Kanumuri Bapiraju will continue as TTD chairman until he completes his term in two months.
Bapiraju had requested Mr Naidu to allow him to continue until the end of his term. But in the Cabinet meeting held in Visakhapatnam on Thursday it was decided to ask all nominated bodies to resign or else orders will be issued to sack them.
Chadalavada Krishna Murthy, hailing from Tirupati and having close association with Mr Naidu will be appointed TTD Chairman. Telugu Desam manifesto committee advisor and stock analyst C. Kutumba Rao will be appointed as deputy chairman of state planning board. The government may issue orders soon in this affect, said TD sources.
