2 Director General ranked officers upset over allotment norms
Hyderabad: Syed Anwarul Huda and Tarini Prasad Das, director general-ranked officers of the AP cadre, brought to the notice of the Hyderabad Bench of the Central Administrative Tribunal that it was the statutory requirement of the Centre to consult the concerned state before making allotments of All India Service Officers but the Centre had ignored the same and made the allotments of in-charge DGPs, that too on May 30, two days prior to the Appointed Day, for the Telangana state.
Citing the recent representation of the IPS Officers’ Association, which had expressed several apprehensions about the methods being followed in both states, they said that the states should have accorded respect to the existing seniors in both states even in making temporary arrangements.
They urged the tribunal to direct both state governments to appoint regular DGPs (Head of Police Force —HoPF) in accordance with the law and in the meantime they should be appointed as in-charge DGPs as they belonged to the 1979 batch.
