- High tide is often the cause of flooding in the city.
- This however didn't dampen Mumbaikas spirits as many crowded along the drive to enjoy the sprays of sea water.
- Parts of the city along the sea side were partially submerged in water.
- The water level rose to an alarming rate as huge waves came crashing in along the Marine drive.
- However, high tide caused flooding in parts of Dadar on Thursday, in the South of city, sea-water submerged road partially near Gateway of India due to high tide.
- Mumbaikars experienced relief from rising mercury as the city received a short spell of rain on Wednesday.

- Tidal waves measuring 4.38 metres had lashed the shores of Mumbai on Thursday, which submerged several parts of the city under water. The waves had yesterday spilled into low lying areas like Worli, Shivaji Park and Mahim and several parts of South
- A special disaster control mechanism has been put in place, where a special team will be attending to emergency calls from citizens three hours before and after the scheduled time of the high tide, MCGM said.
- The parents of the kids are reportedly glad to find financial support from the actress.
- Fifteen security guards have been posted at Gateway of India in South Mumbai from 10 AM to 6 PM and will prohibit people from going near the sea, the circular said.
- The MCGM, in its circular, stated that tidal waves higher than 4.5 metres are expected to hit the Mumbai coast from Friday till June 18, for which the civic body has made arrangements to prevent citizens from venturing near the sea.
