Chennai: Shruti Haasan seems to constantly be at the receiving end of unwanted attention. The nightmare of being attacked by a stalker in her Mumbai apartment had barely ended, and the actress recently had to face a similar incident in Dehradun.
Shruti is shooting in Dehradun for her upcoming Bollywood film, Yaara, which has Irffan Khan in the lead and is directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. The actress was put up at a hotel in Dehradun with the rest of the cast and crew.
A couple of nights ago, after pack-up, the star was woken up by banging on her door. It is reported that a businessman from Sirsa, Haryana, who was staying at the same hotel as her, landed up outside her door and started knocking on it continuously. The man was said to be inebriated at the time.
The scared actress alerted the hotel staff who called the police. Shruti narrated her version to them after which the guy was taken to the police station. Sources also tell us that the heroine’s manager, who was in the room adjacent to hers, was summoned by the police for her version of the incident. Shruti was unavailable for comment.
