Actor Arya to play baddie in Thani Oruvan?
Chennai: Jayam Ravi’s much awaited film with Nayanthara has been titled Thani Oruvan, and the shoot for the film is on in full swing. The film is directed by his brother Jayam Raja, which marks this as a comeback for the duo after Thillalangadi, which had Tamannaah playing the lead. Thani Oruvan is produced by AGS Entertainment.
There are speculations in the industry that Arya, who was last seen in Irandam Ulagam, might play the villain in the film as the role has scope for an actor to perform.
“Nothing has been confirmed yet,” says director Jayam Raja. “We are still shooting the other portions of the film. Also, the villain’s role will be played by a prominent hero in the industry, whom we are yet to finalise. But it’s not Arya as of now.” Almost 50 per cent of the film is over; it has been shot in Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Dehradun.
The team is currently shooting in Chennai. “It’s a thriller-action-drama, the first of its kind,” says the director. “It’s not clichéd. It also has a theme that reflects social problems.”
Jayam Raja is also awaiting the release of Enna Satham Indha Neram in which he debuts as hero.
