Dadi Veerabhadra Rao slams Jagan Reddy, walks out of YSR Congress

He criticised the YSRC leader for running the party as one-man show

Visakhapatnam: Even as YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, was reviewing the party performance in the recent polls, senior leader Dadi Veerabhadra Rao resigned from the party here on Wednesday.

Stating that he had committed a big blunder by joining the YSRC, Mr Rao said he had to quit the party to rectify it. He criticised the YSRC leader, and said the party was run as a one-man show.

He said the party’s existence in the coming days was doubtful and Mr Reddy would either wind up the party or merge with another outfit.

"It’s all a one-man show in the YSRC. Everything is Jagan in the party. No other leader gets importance or prominence. The party lost due to his dictatorial attitude and arrogance,” Mr Rao, who had come to the YSRC from the TD, said. “How many hours did he spend in Vizag for his mother’s poll campaign? He was the main reason behind his mother’s embarrassing defeat. He felt insecure that his sister would become another power centre and didn’t field her,” Mr Rao alleged.

Mr Rao has been sulking since the poll results; his son had lost from Vizag West. On Wednesday, he did not turn up for the YSRC review meeting, and went public with his discontent.
