Telangana Rashtra Samithi MPs demand Telangana Railway division

TRS MPs met Railway minister and demanded that Union govt should fulfil promises

New Delhi: TRS MPs on Wednesday met Railway minister D.V. Sadananda Gowda and demanded that the Union government should fulfil promises like setting up of a rail coach factory and a new railway division in the Telangana state.

“The proposal was under consideration in the past but for some reason, it was shifted to Kapurthala in Punjab,” the MPs said. The MPs asked the minister to instruct officials concerned to expedite the process for early completion of feasibility report and make a provision in the ensuing Budget so that establishment of the factory can take place within a year’s time.

The MPs including Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s daughter K. Kavita, also demanded that a new railway division be established at Kazipet while asking for a wagon manufacturing plant unit in the state.
