Woman, niece stabbed to death at Mirchowk home in Hyderabad
Hyderabad: Two women were brutally murdered at Noorkhan Bazaar in Mirchowk on Wednesday.
The victims, Sameena Fatima, 45, and her niece Syeda Dania Anam, 16, were found dead in their bedrooms in a pool of blood with multiple injuries.
The armed attackers had entered the house from the rear.
While the police is yet to ascertain the motive behind the murder, they suspect that Sameena’s husband, a history sheeter, was involved in various cases including financial disputes well.
The murder could be a revenge attack by his enemies, they said.
Police said that Sameena is the third wife of Syed Ali Asalath, a history sheeter of Bhavaninagar police station.
Asalath is now in Saudi Arabia, while Sameena stays here along with Meena Fatima, another wife of Asalath and their daughter Sakina Fatima, a student at the Villa Marie College.
The incident took place between 8 am and 9 am on Wednesday. Sakina was driven by her grandmother Kulsum Fatima in a car to college in the morning.
“By the time she dropped and returned, she was shocked to see Sameena and Aman dead. They were lying in a pool of blood in two different bedrooms. The killers slit their throats and stabbed them multiple times,” said inspector V. Yadagiri Reddy.
Sameena, a housewife and Anam, a student at a private college in Abids, sustained grave injuries on the head, ears, forehead and other parts of the body.
The cops registered a murder case. Asalath who was involved in many criminal cases first married Nizam’s granddaughter Princess Mehdi Fauzia Fatima.
However, he divorced her. Later, he married another woman, Sameena Fatima and Meena Fatima.
“The family mentioned the name of a person called Altaf with whom Asalath had a financial dispute since a long time. However, we are yet to make any arrests. The case is being investigated from all angles and the complaint is being examined as well,” the inspector said.
The bodies were shifted to the Osmania Hospital and handed over to family.
