Mumbai: Be it on screen or off-screen, Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan’s chemistry has always been a hit with the masses. When the news about Salman roping in Katrina for an item number in Kick started doing the rounds, understandably it upped the market value of the film.
The duo was last seen in the mega blockbuster Ek Tha Tiger. Despite being termed as a “hit jodi” the duo has been extremely selective about working together. But contrary to the news that made headlines, Katrina won’t be doing the item number. “We tried working out the dates. Since Katrina was required to shoot for Jagga Jasoos in Cape Town, she was unable to give us the required dates,” say sources close to Nadiadwala.
The Katrina camp has denied that she opted to give her dates for beau Ranbir Kapoor’s film instead of ex-beau Salman’s film. “JJ was a prior commitment. We tried to work out dates for the song in Kick but unfortunately it didn’t work out.” While Salman is yet to give a green signal for a film with Deepika Padukone, Katrina’s decision has made her stand clear.
