Xbox One to launch in India this September

The standalone Xbox One minus the Kinect will be available for Rs 39,990

Mumbai: After weeks of silence Microsoft has finally announced that the Xbox One will be hitting India Stores on September 23, 2014, and will be available at a price no one thought was possible earlier this year.

The standalone Xbox One minus the Kinect will be available for Rs 39,990, same as the PS4; while the Kinect Xbox One bundle will be available for Rs 45,990. The announcement comes hot on the heels of Microsoft E3 press conference which was rock solid from start to finish and focussed on what a console does best; games.

The E3 press conference coughed up some great new exclusives like Scalebound, an action game which teams you up with dragons and inside the spiritual successor to the hit indie title limbo. The biggest announcement was Halo Master Chief Edition, which is an upgraded version of Halo combat evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo 4 all in one. The console will also receive a closed beta for Halo 5 guardians.

All in all, it seems like a good time to be an Xbox One owner and with the relatively decent price point and expected launch bundles; the Xbox One India launch will be a success.
