Chandrababu Naidu plans Nabard Kotayya as key adviser
Hyderabad: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu is planning to appoint advisers in important departments.
The finance department has become very important in Andhra Pradesh under the present circumstances. Keeping this in view, Mr Naidu decided to appoint two advisers to the finance department.
Mr Naidu is believed to be considering retired IAS officer C.S. Rao and finance expert D. Kotayya (popularly known as Nabard Kotayya) according to sources.
For the information technology sector, retired IAS officer J. Satyanarayana may be appointed.
The name of retired IAS officer Rachel Chatterjee, who worked as chairman and managing director of APTransco, is doing the rounds for the power sector. She may also be given the responsibility of the agriculture department.
In the education department, retired IAS officer Bala Subrahmanyam may be appointed. He had earlier worked as a secretary in Mr Naidu’s peshi when he was a Chief Minister.
Mr Naidu is also likely to appoint an adviser for the irrigation department.
