Hyderabad: A new college session is about to start. So, flag it off in style. And what better place than the movies to get inspiration from?
We spoke to designers from the city — Archana Rao and Deepika Reddy — and they picked out different looks from recent Bollywood movies that will work best for you, students!
Guys, Go for a clean look
While Archana says that for boys it is best to just be comfortable, Deepika chooses Varun Dhawan’s wardrobe from Main Tera Hero, where he plays a college student.
Deepika explains, “Pair up jeans with a cool T-shirt that sticks to your body. This cool-look has worked great for Varun in the film. And if someone doesn’t want to do that, they can always sport a nice shirt with prints. It is important to choose the right cut though.” The designer also suggests that one should go ahead with a clean shaven look with this ensemble.
Girls, keep it simple yet stylish
Both the designers pick Alia Bhatt’s look from 2 States, where she played the role of an MBA student.
Archana says, “It is an effortless look that anyone can easily carry off. Also, Hyderabad has a neutral weather and Alia’s wardrobe in the movie consists of a lot of chic cotton skirts and well-paired T-shirts. Moreover, most girls would have similar apparel in their wardrobes. They wouldn’t need to go shopping for a new look.”
