Chandrababu Naidu asks ministers to work unitedly, focus on development

Hyderabad: The first meeting of the new Council of Ministers of Andhra Pradesh will be held at 10.30 am on June 12 on Andhra University campus in port city of Visakhapatnam.

In 1954, when the erstwhile Andhra state was in existence, the then Cabinet meet was once held in Andhra University, according to new minister Ch Ayyanapatrudu.

Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu discussed the Cabinet meet details with his colleagues Ayyanapatrudu, Ganta Srinivasa Rao and others here this afternoon.

Ayyanapatrudu and Ganta hail from Visakhapatnam district.

The Chief Minister asked the ministers to work unitedly with development as the main focus.

"He asked us to work as a team setting aside any differences and focus primarily on development. TDP was voted to power because of its development record in the past and it has to be continued," Ganta quoted Chandrababu as telling them.

The Chief Minister also told his Cabinet colleagues that their performance would be reviewed once in three months.

"If anyone is found wanting in discharging their duties effectively, they will be dropped," Ganta said quoting Chandrababu.
