Couple, two kids die in road mishap in Medak district

Hyderabad: A couple and their two kids were killed in a mishap on the Rajiv Gandhi highway in the Gouraram village of Medak district on Monday.

The incident occurred when their bike was hit by a car. The victims were returning from a function.

The deceased identified as Buddhi Kiran, 35, his wife Buddhi Lavanya, 30, and their kids Mani, 5, and Nandini, 3 were residents of Anantharam village in RR district.

Police said that Kiran and his family had gone to attend a function at his parents’ house in Gajwel on Sunday and were returning.

Kiran drove the bike from Mutrajpalli on the national highway and was proceeding towards Gouraram, when a car coming from Hyderabad which was driven rashly hit them.

All the four fell down on the road and died on the spot.

The police reached the spot and registered a case. A manhunt for the absconding driver is on. The bodies of the victims were shifted to Gajwel hospital for autopsy.
