Ajith’s generous gesture for his staff
Chennai: Ajith is known for his humanitarian attitude in the industry. He is respected for his professionalism and helping those in need. Few months back, the Veeram star pulled a coup of sorts; he did something which astonished all.
It was reported earlier that the star bought a piece of land on the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR) to build houses for members of his personal staff that included the cook, gardener and domestic help.
What makes the star’s gesture more unique is the fact that he registered the land (which is said to be approximately half an acre) in their names. The bhoomi pooja was done few months back with his wife Shalini.
Now, one hears that the construction of these houses is complete and they are ready for possession. Sources say that, the keys were handed over to the staff last week. Ajith is in Malaysia shooting for his upcoming film with Gautham Menon.
The beneficiaries, who are in jubilant mood, are waiting for their Thala to return, to fix a date for housewarming ceremony. Apparently, Ajith stays in ECR, and his gesture of building houses for his domestic staff closer to his place has received lot of praise.
