PMO starts giving sharp deadlines
New Delhi: The Modi government has set as deadlines of net weeks but days for all the issues being referred to it.
For the first time, the Prime Minister’s Office has started giving sharp deadlines on issues which the PM needs inputs from his Cabinet colleagues and their ministeries. Discarding the earlier practice of no deadlines being set by PMO, now clear deadlines are being mentioned in the PMO communications to ministries. The deadlines range between three to seven days. The deadlines are being set irrespective of the issue at hand and all notes coming from PMO are coming with a date by whi-h it need to be replied.
A flurry of activity is beginning to show with the top bureaucrats on their toes to clear the files and route them ba-ck to the PMO at the earliest.
