Special screening of Kangana Ranaut’s ‘Revolver Rani’ for American critics

Mumbai: From walking the ramp in Milan fashion week to flying to New York to complete her formal training in screenplay, Kangana Ranaut is going all out to to make her presence felt. After the mega success of Queen the Ranaut girl has decided to not restrict her expertise to any medium or country.

Her other film Revolver Rani tanked at the box office but it did earn Kangana the critical acclaim. Probably that's he reason, director Sai Kabir of Revolver Rani fame decided to showcase his film in New York. The filmmaker was scheduled to fly to NY in June to have special screenings of Revolver Rani for the American critics.

When asked about the event, director Sai Kabir said: "Revolver Rani wasn’t the typical run-of-the-mill film. In India, it earned us a lot of critical acclaim. I'm hoping to get a similar response from American critics as well."

His leading lady of revolver Rani who is currently in NY is expected to be present at the screenings. "The idea is to take Indian cinema to the next level. Our actors and technicians work hard to put a film together. Our budgets may not be as big as Hollywood but the fact that we can make a good film without the support of lavish sets and extravagant locations and special effects is commendable. The script, the director and good performances can be enough to make a good film and that's our USP," says Kabir.
