Chennai: The Tollywood industry was abuzz with the report that the Suriya-Samantha starrer, Anjaan, which is directed by Lingusamy, has been titled Sikander in T’town.
Sources say that the movie, produced by Lingusamy and UTV, is red hot in trade circles and Andhra and Telangana rights have been sold for a huge price. Even in Kerala, where Suriya enjoys a good market, Anjaan has been sold for a whopping amount.
A gangster flick, Suriya will be seen in a dual role with Sam playing his romantic interest. The film also has an item song which has Bollywood actress Chitrangada Singh too being roped in for a racy number.
However, Lingusamy, who is shooting in Goa, denied that Anjaan was being titled as Sikander in Telugu. “We have not decided the Tollywood title as yet. It is my baby. So, I will have to name it. We are working overtime to bring the film to screens on August 15.”
It is to be noted that Suriya’s look in a film has been creating quite a huge buzz after Ghajini. Set in the backdrop of Mumbai, the film will be a fresh experience for audiences, the director adds.
