Medics don’t need to feel left out as Thinklabs Medical has announced a new smart stethoscop, Thinklabs One - Digital Stethoscope, that will change the way doctors treat patients.
Recently, the news about doctors from various hospitals around the world are trying out the Google Glass to help them cut down treatment time for patients. Now a new stethoscope has been in the making which is a just a simple chestpiece without the earpiece, tubing and stem.

The digital chestpiece or Thinklabs One - Digital Stethoscope is an electronic instrument which is battery powered and contains a very high sensitive microphone. The output is a basic 3.5-mm earphone jack that can be used with a pair of good-quality earphones. The sound captured is amplified more than 100 times and sent to the earphones.
The earphones can be connected to a smartphone (an iOS or an Android device or Mac / Desktop PCs), which along with the Thinklabs Stethoscope app. The app / software records the incoming sound, filters it and reports the feedback to the doctor on the display.

The stethoscope’s chestpiece also features a display, which indicates the battery level, volume and frequency.
